Accessibility Statement

The Station House is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including guests who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.

The standard we aim for

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA. These are the guidelines referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we have done

  • Our menus are real, selectable text rather than pictures of menus, so they can be read aloud, enlarged, and searched.
  • The whole site can be operated with a keyboard, and the item you are on is always visibly outlined.
  • A “Skip to content” link lets you jump straight past the navigation.
  • Text and background colors are tested for sufficient contrast.
  • The rotating photos on our home page can be paused, and they do not move for visitors whose devices request reduced motion.
  • Images carry descriptive text, and our forms have clearly labeled fields.
  • The site is tested with automated accessibility tools and by keyboard.

Known limitations

Some services we link to are run by other companies, including our online reservations and gift card providers. We do not control how accessible those websites are. If you have trouble using them, please call us and we will gladly help you by phone.
